Summer...

Welp,...as of yesterday, it has arrived. Hard to imagine, but indeed it is so. There are many, many things I'd like to accomplish this summer. But I think I'm off to a poor start, because so far, this is a summary of what has occurred in the past 38 hours of my summer:

1. 8 hrs into summer - I surfed the web for about an hour.
2. 9 hrs into summer - I ate leftovers and watched movies for most of day (I didn't even get out of my pj's, heehee!)
3. 24 hrs into summer - I brushed my teeth and went to bed.
4. 31 hours into summer - I got up, ate and drank yogurt and oj, while surfing the internet
5. 32 hours into summer - I went outside to water the garden and feed the chickens.
6. 32.15 hrs into summer - I was moo'd at and beckoned by the miniature calves 15 ft from my kitchen window. So I petted and scratched their heads, and hand feet them a little which seemed to make them happy.
7. 33 hrs into summer - I picked peas and looked for strawberries in the patch.
8. 34 hrs into summer - I was cooking zucchini fritters, when I spotted wild turkeys strolling up our lane. Dagnabit, I need to get a bow! Last week I had battle with a giant Peter rabbit. I swear, he had 12 inch feet! He was spooked by a vehicle and came running towards me and my salad bar in the garden. 10 mins of wild chasing, I had him cornered between two fences, till he finally forced himself under, and ran off into the high fields.
9. 36 hrs into summer - I got on my computer, browsed here on DA to see all the lovely art you folks are making, and am now typing this journal.

Next up, I shall attempt to either thumbnail pages 51 thru 60 of my OGN, or finish inking some pages. It sucks not having someone to push me though. I really could use a push every now and then, because...Darn, those cute sleepy calves enjoying their summer under the shade of a tree! They make me yearn for an ice-tea and a good book, so I too, can have a sleepy summer under a shady tree.
